Helga Berta (Wolff) Stewart

Helga Berta Stewart, 86, formerly of Tipton and Iowa City, entered eternity on Sunday, March 3, 2024 while under the care of Heritage Specialty Care in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral arrangements are currently pending with Fry Funeral Home, Tipton.

Helga was born on November 9, 1937 in Berlin, Germany. She was the daughter of Otto Karl Wolff and Emma Vrbata Wolff. Helga met and was married to Charlie Thumm on April 11, 1957 while Charlie was stationed in Berlin. They later divorced. Helga was later married to Charles Stewart who preceded her in death. Helga worked many different manufacturing jobs in and around the Iowa City area.

Helga is survived by her two children, Gisela Eiselstein and Michael Thumm of Iowa City. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two previous husbands and her son, Robert Thumm. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com.
