Hilbert J. Dinse, age 75, of Tipton died on Monday, October 17, 2005 at the Iowa City Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Iowa City following complications of cancer. Services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19 at the Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. A Masonic service will start at 7:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 7:15 p.m. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Woodbridge Cemetery rural Buchanan. Memorial donations may be given to the Hlbert Dinse memorial fund. Hilbert James Dinse was born on November 30, 1925in Tipton, Iowa the son of William A. and Ella A Wilhelmina Dinse. Hilbert graduated from Tipton High School in 1947 and served his county from February of 1951 until February of 1955 in the United States Navy. He married Velda Osterkamp on September 16, 1963 at Anamosa Lutheran Church and for thirty years he worked as a barber in Swisher. Hilbert was a member of the Rochester Masonic Lodge and the Solon American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Velda of Tipton, two sisters, Norma Dunbar of Solon and Irma Hansen of Iowa City and one brother, John Dinse of Yakima, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents.
