Irene Marie Adams

Irene Marie Adams, 88, of Tipton, died Friday, March 16, 2012 in Cedar Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 19, at 2:00 pm, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tipton. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Irene was born on September 12, 1923 in Muscatine, Iowa to Charles R. and Mary Kraus Tisor. She was a member of the Muscatine High School Class of 1941. Irene was united in marriage to John "Bud" Adams on April 17, 1948 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Muscatine. Irene was a homemaker and worked at Webers Button Factory in Muscatine for several years, was a member of AARP-Plus 60, and a member of the Tipton VFW Auxiliary. Irene is survived by her neighbors and caregivers, the Danny Laing Family of Tipton, Iowa; her nieces, Charlene Thumm of Tipton, Iowa and Jennifer Zahradnek of Iowa City, Iowa, several great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bud, in 1986. A memorial has been established for the Trinity Lutheran Church in Tipton.
