J. "Kay" (Neil) Miller

J. “Kay” Miller, 84, of Tipton, IA entered eternity in the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 18, 2022, while at home under the care of Hospice and with loving family at her side. Fry Funeral Home will host a visitation on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. On Saturday, May 21, 2022. a funeral service officiated by Rev. Ron Lashmit will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Tipton at 10:30 am. Immediately following the funeral service, Kay will be laid to rest in the Red Oak Cemetery, Tipton. In lieu of flowers, Kay’s family prefers donations, as all received donations will be redirected to either the Tipton United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society. Family asks that cards and memorials be mailed to 215 West Eighth St., Tipton, IA 52772. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com Joyce “Kay” Miller, daughter of Dwight and Mildred (Swan) Neil was born on Friday, December 17, 1937 in New London, IA. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the Class of 1955 and went on to attend Iowa Wesleyan College. On April 17, 1957, Kay married the love of her life, Marvin Donald Miller, in Mt. Pleasant, IA and were later blessed with two daughters, Kimberly and Michelle. Kay was Material Manager for Jameson Corp. for 13 years and was manager of the Tipton Country Club. She later worked for Latta Harris LLP, in Tipton for 15 years. Her duties there included payroll and assisting clients with tax return preparation. Kay was of the Methodist faith and was previous board member of the following organizations; American Cancer Society, Tipton’s United Methodist Church, Cedar County Habitat and the Tipton Country Club and Ladies Golf. She was a member of Athenaeum and the Thursday Ladies Bridge Club. Kay was an avid golfer, crafter and cook that loved to spend time with and entertain her family and friends. Together, Kay’s whole family learned to play golf and for years later, continued to play golf together. Kay expressed her natural artistic ability through needlework, painting and baking. She especially enjoyed painting gourds. Kay was well known for her Pecan Pie, Cherry desserts and Seafood Boils she held while in Florida. Kay is survived by her; husband, Marvin; daughters, Kimberly (Craig) Regennitter of Tipton, IA and Michelle (Ken) Lehmeier of Loveland, CO; grandchildren, Larry (Jen) Rochau, Robert (Sarah Elarton) Rochau, Keith (Melanie) Lehmeier, Craig Lehmeier, Angela (Jad) Murphy and Abby (John) Wennekamp; and five great-grandchildren, Macy, Jocelyn, Regan, Alayna, and Henry. She was preceded in death by her; parents, Dwight and Mildred; sister, Linda Kiene; son-in-law, Rick Rochau; and grandson, Christopher Rochau.
