Jane Delores Ducker

Funeral services for Jane Delores Ducker, 80, of Tipton who died Thursday, May 5, 2011 will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 10:00 am at the First United Church of Christ, Tipton with Pastor David Lorenzen officiating. Graveside services for family and friends will follow at 3:00 pm at the Faith United Church of Christ Cemetery in Tripoli with Pastor Marilyn Sargent officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. A memorial has been established in her memory. Jane was born January 2, 1931, the daughter of Edwin and Alice VanSkyke Niemann in Sumner, Iowa. She was a graduate of Sumner High School. On August 29, 1948, Jane was united in marriage to Virgil Arnold Ducker at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Sumner. She was a homemaker and was employed at the Tipton Conservative, retiring in 1993. Jane was a devoted member of the First United Church of Christ and Cedar County Piece Makers. Jane is loved and survived by her husband, Virgil Ducker of Tipton, Iowa; daughters, Ellen Ducker of Tripoli, Ann Ducker of Newhall, Mary (Steven) Brown of Solon; sons, Craig Ducker of North Washington, Denis (Robin) Ducker of Tripoli, Daniel (Carolyn) Ducker of Tampa, Florida, and Matthew Ducker of Henderson, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her son, Lynn Ducker; parents, Edwin and Alice Niemann; sister, Carol Hudacek; and brothers, James, Eugene, and Phillip "Pete" Niemann.
