Janice Helgason

Janice Arlene Helgason, daughter of Walter A. and Ruth Schrooten Salmonson, was born November 27, 1941, in Odebolt, Iowa. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa and received her Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois. On October 26, 1963, Janice was united in marriage to Richard Vernon Helgason in St. Louis, Missouri. Janice was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Odebolt, Iowa. She was employed as a Data Base Administrator for the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas, Texas, retiring in 1993. Janice is survived by her husband, Dr. Richard Helgason of Plano, Texas; brother, Ronald Salmonson and wife, Loris of Tipton, Iowa; nephews, Mark Salmonson and wife, Andrea of Muscatine, Iowa, and Terry Salmonson and wife, Mindi of McKinney, Texas; nieces, Deb Eisele and husband, Mike of Tipton, Iowa and Dawn Spickermann and husband, Kevin of New Liberty, Iowa; grand-nephews, Josh Salmonson, Erik Eisele, Jacob Spickermann and Noah Salmonson; and grand-nieces, Emily Salmonson, Tara Eisele, Mackenzie and Madison Salmonson.
