Janice Marie Nienhaus

Funeral services for Janice Marie Nienhaus, 71, of Tipton who died Friday, December 28, 2012 will be held Monday, December 31, 2012 at 10:30 am at Fry Funeral home, Tipton, with Rev. Ron Lashmit officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 3-5 pm at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will be at the Tipton Masonic Cemetery, Tipton. A memorial has been established in her memory. Janice was born March 23, 1941 in New Hampton, Iowa. She was the daughter of Orville and Alene Fern Morris Carter. She attended Hampton High School. On October 29, 1982, Janice was united in marriage to Garvin Alphonse Nienhaus in Mason City, Iowa. Janice was a homemaker and had been employed as a painter for Winnebago Industries. Janice is survived by her husband, Garvin Nienhaus of Tipton; father, Orville Carter of North Liberty; sons, Michael (Rika) Allen of Nevada, Ohio and Jerry (Sandy) Allen of Marion, Ohio; sisters, Nancy (Robert) Sines of Hiawatha, Kansas and Carol (Monte) Kammerer of Gresham, Oregon; and brothers, Dan (Debbie) Carter of Boque Chitto, Mississippi and Don (Diane) Carter of North Liberty. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-son, Mike.
