Janice Y. Behrle Spicer, age 66 of Paris, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born February 11, 1948 in Lansing, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy (Moore) Titler. Jan graduated from Morley Stanwood High School in 1966. She was a strong woman and was a breast cancer survivor. Jan's greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren. She liked to spend her spare time shopping and going to the casino. Jan had numerous hobbies, including, playing bingo, painting ceramic figurines, decorating the house and arranging her flower garden. She had an unconditional love for all her family and she is going to be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Lyle Spicer of Paris; two children, Todd Behrle of WY and Michelle (Dan Obert) Behrle of WI; two step-children, Kathy (Brian) Olson of WI and Tom Spicer of MN; nine grandchildren, Kyle, Kayla, Chelsea, Kolton, Veah, Hayden, Paige, Summer and Vivian; four siblings, Phillip (Kathy) Titler of IN, Pam (Gordon) Gilbert of Big Rapids, David Titler of Morley and Debbie (Mark) Howey of Elsie; and many nieces and nephews. Jan was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Ron White officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Jan's name to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
