Jody Achey

Jody Ann Achey, 30, of 1483 Snaggy Ridge Road, died Wednesday, June 30, in her home from complications of breast cancer. Following Jody's wishes, her body has been cremated and there will be no formal services. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Zion Cemetery at a later date. Survivors include her parents, John E. and Karen K. Achey of Tipton; sister, Elizabeth K. (Rick) Waltz of Tipton; nieces, Madeline and Mackenzie Waltz of Tipton; grandfather, Ronald Anderson of Tipton; aunts and uncles, Marilyn and Denny Carney of Tipton, Linda and Mike Spurgeon of Decorah, Ray Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Jackie Meeker of Lander, Wyo., Sharon and Gerald Osborn of Tipton and Ralph Wilke of Tipton. She was preceded in death by an aunt, Luva Jean Wilke; grandparents, Dorothy Anderson, John and Genevieve Achey; and two cousins. Born Fev. 18, 1974 in Davenport, Iowa, she was the daughter of John and Karen Anderson Achey. Jody graduated from Tipton High School in 1993 and earned an A. A. Degree from Kirkwood College.
