John Frederick Lamp

Funeral services for John Frederick Lamp, 95, of Tipton, who died February 28, 2013, at Prairie Hills Assisted Living in Tipton, will be held Tuesday, March 5 at 10:30 AM at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 4-6:00 PM at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will follow in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his memory. John was born June 12, 1917 in Cedar County, Iowa. On January 26, 1937, John was united in marriage to Mabel Ellen Laucamp at the South Bethel Parsonage, rural Tipton. John was employed in sales and service. John is survived by his wife, Mabel Ellen Lamp of Tipton; daughters, Margaret (Chet) Christianson of Anthem, AZ, Millie Manatrey of Walnut, IL, Elaine Holden of Des Moines, Patricia Harvey of Sunland, CA, Marilyn Mathias of St. Charles, IL; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, grandson, Bart Holden; son-in-law, Arlyn Holden.
