John F. Mumm

Mumm of Lakeland, FL 63, died at home on Wednesday, February 5, surrounded by his wife and six children. He was born on February 23, 1950 in Hopewell, VA. He was married to Nancy Schmidt at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Cedar Rapids, IA on August 4, 1973. They moved to Lakeland, FL in 1983. John was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting and shared these passions with his wife and children. He was devoted to his family. John is loved beyond measure by his wife, Nancy, and six children; Janel (Joseph) McGovern, Cedar Rapids, IA; Jacquelyn (Philip) Myers, Lakeland, FL; John Mumm, Brandon, FL; Julie (Mark) Baumgartner, Baltimore, MD; Jill Mumm, Lithia, FL; and Jacob Mumm, Lakeland, FL, as well 12 grandchildren and two grand dogs. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret Mumm of Lakeland, FL and his brother James (Veronica) Mumm of Cedar Rapids, IA. He is preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Mumm. The Rite of Burial will be performed at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Durant, IA on Monday, February 10 at 1:00 pm. Graveside services will follow at the Durant Cemetery.
