Johnny's life journey began in Harrisburg, Illinois on January 8, 1955, where he was born to Paul Hull and Helen (Hurst) Bramlett. He attended Eldorado High School, Illinois, before finishing his education in the U.S. Army where he proudly served as a Spec. 4 for 6 years. Johnny was united in marriage to the love of his life, Theresa Alexander in Eldorado on June 14, 1975. The couple resided in Tipton where they raised their children, Jason and Tammy, adopted son Robert Bramlett, foster children Abe and Claudia Espinoza. He was also a foster parent to many other foster children, often times being referred to as, 'Papa John.' Johnny was employed at the University of Iowa as a Respiratory Therapist for 20+ years, until his early retirement due to declining health conditions. He attended and was baptized in Jesus name at Hope Church of Tipton. Even though his health prevented him from attending recently, Johnny loved his church and cherished the bond he formed with the congregation. Fishing and boating, camping and yardwork (especially tending to his little pond) were all things Johnny enjoyed. He was a true family man, who loved spending time with his family and friends. Johnny was an inspiration to many and will be dearly missed. Surviving Johnny are his wife, Theresa Bramlett of Tipton; children, Tammy Bramlett of Tipton, Jason Bramlett of Davenport and adopted son, Robert Bramlett; sisters, Paula Bailey and Debbie Austin and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
