Jon Bruce Mullan

Jon Bruce Mullan, 79, of Tipton, previously of Mechanicsville, Iowa, passed away peacefully on September 11th, 2026.

Jon was born November 19th, 1946 in Cedar Rapids at Mercy Hospital to Mary Jane Mullan and Robert R. Mullan. He had four brothers: Pat Mullan, Steve Mullan, Mike Mullan, and Mark Mullan. Jon attended Lincoln Schools in Mechanicsville and Stanwood, Iowa, and was a proud veteran who served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

Jon is survived by his wife, Connie Mullan; brother, Mark Mullan; son, Shane Achenbach (Giovonnte Tate); son, Justin Mullan (Laura); daughter, Kellie Steffenson (Tom); son, Daniel McMurrin (Nicole); daughter, Angela Rice (Justin); fifteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday September 18th, 2026, at the Tipton VFW (401 Lemon St., Tipton, Iowa) from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The family and friends are welcome to a graveside service and burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mechanicsville, Iowa, at 1:00 PM, just prior to the Celebration of Life.
