Jorden Lee Samuels

Jorden Lee Samuels, 13, of Tipton, died on Good Friday, April 6, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 10:30 am, Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will follow in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Fry Funeral Home. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. Jorden was born on December 1, 1998 in Iowa City, Iowa and was the son of Derek and Dena Bunge Samuels. He was a 7th grader in the Tipton Middle School. Jorden was a member of the Troup 76 - Boy Scouts of America. He was also a member of the Lego League of the Tipton 4-H Council, played basketball, played the baritone in the Tipton Junior High School Band, enjoyed playing games and watching movies on his computer, fishing, shooting his B-B gun and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers. Jorden is survived by his parents, Derek and Dena Samuels, and his sister, Jaci Samuels, all of Tipton; maternal grandparents, Glenn and Sherry Bunge of West Branch, Iowa; paternal grandparents, Amanda and Tom Hughes of Zephyr Hills, Florida; aunts and uncles, Tom and Teri Bell of Olin, Iowa, Chris and Melissa Bunge of Tipton, Mark Samuels of Waseca, MN, Bill (LaRae Kubista) Samuels of Owatonna, MN, Mark and Dawnita Schaefer of Erie, Il, Melinda and Tom Cosenza of Lutz, FL, and Valerie Shuman of Muscatine, Ia. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Samuels and his uncle, Scott Shuman.
