Joseph Hansen

Joseph Allen Hansen died September 2, 2006 after long term complications related to an ATV accident. Joseph was born May 22, 1967 in Burlington Iowa. He attended the Mt Pleasant High School and Graduated in 1985. He then moved to Brooklyn New York where he volunteered for five years assisting Jehovah's Witnesses in their educational work. This is where he learned his Tile trade work. Joseph returned to Tipton Iowa in 1992 and established Hansen Tile and Plastering which has left his art work through out the community. Joseph was a member of the EAA and Green Castle Areo Club in North Liberty and also held a Hamm radio membership. He loved the outdoors and related sports. Joseph married Judith Lynn Mecham on October 1st, 1994 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Iowa City, IA. He and Judy attended the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Tipton Iowa where they lived. The memorial visitation and service will be at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Iowa City Iowa, 2923 Northgate Drive which is north of I-80 off Hwy 1. The visitation is at 2pm with the funeral following at 3pm September 16, 2006. All memorials should be addressed to Judith Hansen and can be mailed to 414 7th Street, Tipton, Iowa 52772.
