Julie Ann Villhauer, 41, of Tipton, entered eternal rest with her family by her side on Friday, December 2, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. Friends and family may gather for a time of visitation on Sunday, December 4th from 2:00-5:00pm at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Funeral service will be on Monday, December 5th at 10:30am, also at Fry's, with Interment to follow at Red Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Julie's honor has been established. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Julie's life journey began on September 20, 1975, when she was born to Jack and Laura (Wulf) Otten. She graduated from Lincoln Community School and then attended college at U.N.I. for one year. On August 10, 1996, Julie married the love of her life, Keith Villhauer and they would later welcome their daughter, Jordan into the world. Julie enjoyed being involved in Jordan's activities, such as Girl Scout Leader and Volleyball coach for Youth Sports. She was employed with CDS Global for several years. During Julie's first battle against cancer, she became very involved with Relay for Life. Outdoor activities like, camping at Cedar Valley and annual kayaking trips to Decorah were a must for Julie. She also enjoyed painting on old windows and giving them to her friends and family. She cherished her time with her friends and adored the time spent with her family. Julie had a smile that could brighten anyone's day and often times she did just that, for numerous people. Julie is survived by her husband, Keith; daughter Jordan; mom, Laura Otten; sister Crystal (Bill Baker) Otten; brother Jeff (Mindy) Otten and children Brianna, Jacob and Jackson; grandma Betty Wulf, all of Tipton; mother-in-law, Marcia Villhauer and extended family; many aunts and uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Jack Otten, grandparents Ben and Audrey Otten and Arlynn Wulf.
