Funeral services for Keith Alan Beck, 56, of Mechanicsville who died Friday, May 24, 2013 will be Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 10:30 am at Mechanicsville Methodist Church with Rev. Barbara Krueger officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 27, 2013 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville. Keith was born January 27, 1957 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Robert Edward and Audrey Jane Randall Beck. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and attended Iowa State University. He was united in marriage to Peggy Sue Weber on April 24, 1982 in Mechanicsville. Keith was a lifelong farmer who farmed the land and raised cattle, hogs, and sheep. He was a competitive person who enjoyed bowling, visiting the casinos and was an avid sports fan. He was always ready and willing to help others. Keith was a family man who loved spending time with his boys. Keith is loved and survived by his wife, Peggy Beck of Mechanicsville; mother, Audrey Beck of Tipton; sons, Eric (Katherine) Beck and future granddaughter who is expected on July 25, 2013, of Marion; Tyler Beck of Des Moines; brothers, Ron (Barb) Beck of Waukesha, WI, Ken (Christine) Beck of Mechanicsville, Larry (Linda) Beck of Tipton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Beck.
