Kevin Lee Hein, 50, New Liberty, Iowa, formerly of Bennett/Tipton area, died suddenly, December 16, 2015 at Genesis East, Davenport, Iowa. Funeral services will be held, Monday, December 21, 2015, 10:30 am, Trinity Lutheran Church, Tipton. There will be a luncheon and a time of remembrance and fellowship at Trinity Lutheran Church immediately following the funeral service. Burial and graveside service will be held at Inland Cemetery, Bennett, following the luncheon. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2015, from 2:00-5:00 pm, Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. A memorial fund, in Kevin's honor, has been established. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Kevin was born on June 19, 1965, to Larry and Ilaina (Seebeck) Hein. He attended and graduated from Bennett High School and later attended Kirkwood and Blackhawk College, graduating with his AA degree and obtaining his C.N.C. certification. Kevin was employed with Liberty Pattern for 27 years where he was their lead Journeyman Pattern Maker. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and choir, Tipton; Cedar County 4-H; also a former member of the Tipton Fire Department. Kevin, alongside with his dad, raised purebred Black Angus cattle; he also loved woodworking, hunting and target shooting. Having sung in his church choir and the Barber Shop Quartet, Kevin was known for being a genuine family man with a beautiful tenor voice. Kevin is survived by his parents, Larry and Ilaina (Seebeck) Hein of Bennett; daughter, Megan (Nick) McDonald, Tipton; son, Adam (Kat Betz) Hein, Ames; grandmother, Lorna Seebeck; brothers, Mark (Donna) Hein, Bennett and Ryan (Carla) Hein, Durant; ex-wife, Jeannette (Stransky) Hein; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Walter Seebeck and paternal grandparents, Marvin and Lois Hein.
