Kevin Mathew Williams

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kevin Mathew Williams, who departed this life on November 29, 2024, at the age of 53. Born on January 16, 1971, in Wisconsin, Kevin has overcome a lot of life's challenges with resilience and strength.  Despite his circumstances, he touched the lives of those around him with his kindness and gentle spirit.  Kevin spent the last 5 years of his life at a group home in Iowa City under the care of Reach for Your Potential, and prior to that lived many years in Tipton.  One of his favorite places to be when he was living in Tipton was hanging out at Happy Joes talking to anyone that would stop and visit and taking advantage of Bart's generosity and hospitality. Kevin will be laid to rest at Shawver Cemetery at a later date, however there is a memorial tribute at The Gathering,  519 Cedar St, Tipton, IA, scheduled to take place on December 8th, 2024, at 3:00 PM.  Details regarding the service will be shared with friends and family as we come together to honor his memory. Kevin was a proud graduate of Tipton High School and was a member of the Calvary Foursquare Church, where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was later baptized.  His life was rich with experiences and moments that are cherished by those who knew him. He is survived by his loyal guardian, Rick Achenbach and family, along with many friends he made along life’s journey. In this time of mourning, let us remember Kevin for the warmth he brought to our lives. We extend our heartfelt condolences to all who knew him, and we invite you to join us in celebrating his life and legacy during the upcoming funeral services.
