Funeral services for Kurt Lee Johnson, 70, of Tipton who died Thursday, May 17, 2012 will be held Monday, May 21, 2012 at 10:30am at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Lowden with Pastor Victor P. Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Lowden. Online condolences and photos may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. A memorial has been established in his memory. Kurt was born February 25, 1942, the son of Harry B. and Nathaleen W. Summers Johnson, in Clarinda, Iowa. He graduated from Emerson High School and attended Iowa Western Community College in Clarinda. On July 10, 1982, Kurt was united in marriage to Diane Marie Horman in Lowden. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lowden. Kurt was employed as a governmental data processor and enjoyed operating amateur radios. Kurt is survived by his wife, Diane of Tipton, Iowa; son, Klay Johnson and his wife, Tami of Tipton, Iowa; grandchildren, Nicholas and wife, Amy, Ashley, Racheal, and Kelsey; and one great-grandchild, Harper. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Kent.
