Lawrence Ronald Echeberry

Lawrence Ronald Echelberry, age 74, of New Liberty, Iowa, passed away on March 31, 2026, at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport.

Lawrence was born on October 28, 1951, in California. He later made his home in the New Liberty area.

He was united in marriage to Margaret Suzanne Idlewine on June 26, 2017, in Davenport, Iowa. She preceded him in death on December 30, 2018. Lawrence later shared his life with his significant other, Donna Kay Wood, who survives.

Lawrence proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he worked as a refinery firefighter and EMT, dedicating his career to helping others and serving his community.

He is survived by his significant other, Donna Kay Wood; his in-laws; and extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will take place at a later date in Rochester Cemetery in rural Cedar County.
