Lee Allen Timmerman, 77, of Bennett, Iowa died peacefully at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton, Iowa with family surrounding him on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Funeral services for Lee will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 27, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tipton, Iowa. Graveside and burial services will follow at Inland Cemetery in Bennett, Iowa, with a luncheon to be held immediately thereafter at the Bennett Community Center. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, from 3-7PM at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, Iowa. A rosary service will follow the conclusion of visitation. A memorial has been established for Bennett Ambulance Services, Bennett Fire Department and Cedar Manor Nursing Home, all in Lee's honor. Online condolences, memories and photos may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Lee Allen Timmerman was born January 5, 1937 in Big Rock, Iowa, the son of J. Leon Timmerman and Alice Dorothy DeWulf Timmerman. Lee graduated from Bennett High School, Class of 1955. He married Janice Laucamp Timmerman in 1956; she passed away in October of 1979. He later married Dolores Jedlicka Reeve on April 10, 1987. Lee farmed in the Lowden and Bennett area retiring in 2010. He was a member of Cedar County Farm Bureau Board, producer for Lean and Meaty, parts and salesman for Bennett Ford, and producer/salesman for McClean County Hog Service. He spent many hours attending his children and grandchildren's school activities. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tipton Iowa. Lee is survived by his wife Dolores; daughters, Kay (Dave) Burmeister of New Liberty, Iowa, Keri Lambert of Olathe, Kansas; and sons Kim (Kerri) Timmerman and Kevin (Angie) Timmerman, both of Bennett, Iowa, Kraig (Jeanne) Timmerman of New Liberty, Iowa, Kent (Amee) Timmerman of Jefferson, Georgia and Karl (Shelly) Timmerman of Cummings, Georgia; step-children, Cindy (Dale) Kunde, Deanne (George) Robinson, Mike (Shelly) Reeve, Susie Reeve, Jim (Pam) Reeve and Ruth (Mike) Clark; siblings, Barb Ihns, Beverly Green, Theresa Quinn, Larry Paul Timmerman and David Timmerman; 18 grandchildren; 19 step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Janice Laucamp Timmerman who died in 1979, and one great-step-grandson Cael David Burmeister.
