Leonard Schwitzer

Leonard Henry Schwitzer, son of Otto and Ella Boettcher Schwitzer, was born July 25, 1913, in Cedar County, Iowa. Leonard was united in marriage to Wilma Alberta Kunde on November 30, 1940 in Clinton, Iowa. Leonard farmed and was a member of Peace Church of Christ United, Charter member of the Bennett Lions Club, Melvin Jones Award recipient and a past board member of Cedar County Co-op. Leonard is loved and survived by his daughters, Joyce Coppess & husband, Lee of Stanwood, Iowa, Jean Goldsmith & husband, Jerry of Clarence, Iowa; son, William Bill" Schwitzer & wife Deb of Tipton Iowa; 8 grandchildren 6 great-grandchildren; sister Alice Bond of Silvis Illinois; and a brother Alan Gartman of Maquoketa Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents Otto & Ella Schwitzer; wife Wilma Kunde Schwitzer on June 30 1992; sister Helen Schwitzer; and brothers Herbert and Ray Schwitzer."
