Leora Tenley

Leora Mae Wagner Tenley, daughter of Albert Oliver and Dorothy Ora Violet Herron Wagner, was born on January 4, 1936 in Coon Rapids, Iowa. She was a 1954 graduate of the Coon Rapids High School. On October 17, 1956, Leora was united in marriage to Richard Lee Tenley in Durant, Iowa. Leora and Richard shared the joy of living on a farm by working together and raising their family. Leora is survived by her husband, Richard of Mechanicsville; her two daughters, Cathy (Larry) Boesenberg of Brooklyn, Iowa, Pam (Mike) St. John of Stanwood, Iowa; two sons, Dennis (Deb) Tenley of Stanwood, Iowa and Brian Tenley of Olin, Iowa; Grandchildren, Stacy (Bob) Brooks, Brad (Amanda) Boesenberg, Jamie (Dan) Kriegel, Sarah Tenley, Tanner Tenley, Grant Tenley, Laura St. John, Ryan St. John, Jenny St. John, Austin Tenley and Abby Tenley; Great grand child, Gavin Brooks; Sisters, Norma (Richard) Luckstead of Olin and Violet Brinkman of Missouri. Leora was preceded in death by her parents (Albert and Dorothy Wagner), grandson, Brady Tenley, brothers, Richard Wagner and Leland Wagner. A general memorial fund has been established in Leora's memory. You are invited to join Leora's family for a time of food and fellowship in the lower level of Fry Funeral Home.
