Linda Marie (Shaull) Dykstra

Linda Marie (Shaull) Dykstra, 74, of Tipton, IA, died suddenly, on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, while at her home. Fry Funeral Home will host a Visitation from 4pm – 7pm on Friday, June 10, 2022 and a funeral service, officiated by Pastor Jon Merritt, on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 10:00 am. Immediately following the funeral service, Linda will be laid to rest in the Red Oak Cemetery, Tipton and family invites you back to the funeral home for a luncheon.

Family will redirect all memorials to the following; Tipton Lion’s Club, Trinity United Church of Christ, and the Cedar County Historical Society. Linda, daughter of LeRoy Kiel and Marie Alma (Eilers) Shaull, was born on Tuesday, April 27, 1948 in Saint Louis, MO. She graduated from Davenport Central High School and went on to receive her Business Administration degree at Hannibal Lagrange Baptist College. On September 4, 1971, Linda married the love of her life, Dennis Arthur Dykstra, at the South Bethel Church in Tipton. She was a member of the Lion’s Club, Trinity United Church of Christ, and Durant’s American Legion Auxilliary, Post 430. Linda’s faith was strong, as she enjoyed devotionals, reading her Bible daily, listening to gospel music and playing hymns on her piano. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, and her three favorite TV programs were Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and anything on the Hallmark Channel. For Linda, friends, family, and kids were a priority. She enjoyed their visits and graced them with the best spaghetti, chili, jello salad and brownies, but they will all miss her sweet demeanor the most. Linda is survived by her husband Dennis; daughter, Denise Dykstra of Moscow, IA; son, Jeff (Cindy) Dykstra of Stanwood, IA; and brother Randall Shaull of Greencastle, PA. She was preceded in death by her mother Marie; and father Leroy.
