Louie Earl Cook was born on March 25, 1925 in Dry Creek, West Virginia the son of Byrd and Belva White Cook. Louie attended West Virginia Public Schools. Louie married Virginia Alberhasky on Sept, 16, 1944. Louie worked as a Jeweler and Watch Maker. He was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church, lifetime member Tipton American Legion, Iowa Jewelers and Watch Makers Association, charter member Cedar Co. Work Activity Cntr. and a past Moose Lodge member. Louie's family includes his wife, Virginia Cook of Tipton, Iowa; daughters, Sherrie and husband, John Falkers of Tipton, Iowa, Nancy and husband, Dr. Ted Koerner of Iowa City, Iowa, Susan and husband, Dr. Jerry Molitor of Seattle, Washington, Linda and husband, Eric Gradeler of Nice, France; sons, Louis Cook of Tipton, Iowa, Steve Cook and wife, Cindy of Iowa City, Iowa, Michael Cook and wife, Deb of Tipton, Iowa, Christopher Cook and wife, Carmen of Tipton, Iowa; 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Louie was preceded in death by his parents, Byrd & Belva Cook; sister, Ruth Bone; and grandson, Robbie Cook of Tipton.
