Lowell Edward Salyars, 80, of Tipton, entered eternity Monday, November 3, 2014 at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa. Visitation for Lowell will be Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 4-7PM at Fry Funeral Home, in Tipton, Iowa. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 10AM at Fry Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Tipton Masonic Cemetery. A luncheon will be held immediately after graveside services at Rochester United Methodist Church in Rochester, Iowa. Lowell was born April 5, 1934 in Fremont County to Lyle and Lois Triplett Salyars. He received his education in Wilton, Iowa, completing the 10th grade. One July 12, 1953, Lowell married the love of his life, Donna Marie Ford. They were married at the Tipton Bible Church. Together they had three children: Sharon, Steve and Kevin. Lowell worked as the Maintenance Superintendent for Cedar County Iowa. He was a member of Rochester United Methodist Church, Golden Rule, and the #24 Masonic Lodge. Lowell is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Sharon Espinosa of West Liberty, Iowa; Steve (Teresa) Salyars of Moscow, Iowa and Kevin (Deb) Salyars of Muscatine, Iowa; sister, Rosie (Gene) Bowdish of Davenport, Iowa; brothers, Garey (Karen) Salyars of Stanwood, Iowa and Robert Salyars of Davenport; 8 grandchildren, Derrick, Duane, Will, Stacie, Katie, Steven, Kelsey and Jonathan; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Angela and Johnny; sisters, Mary Lou Winant and Betty Johnson; and brothers, Charles, Billy and Donny.
