Lucile Mowry

Lucile O. Morden Mowry, daughter of William & Osceola Griffis Morden, was born July 17, 1910, in Tipton, Iowa. She was a 1928 graduate of Tipton HIgh School. Lucile was united in marriage to Daniel Mowry in Tipton, Iowa in May of 1929. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church; many church women's circles; Women of the Moose and Business and Professional Women. She was employed as a bookkeeper for the Rock Island Arsenal durng WWII; Schultz Brothers and Century Bernard Fuel. Lucile is survived by her son, Robert Mowry & wife, Betty of Marion, Iowa; daughter, Danna Lu Donohue of Stanwood, Iowa; sister, Louise Morden of Tipton, Iowa; brother, George Morden & wife, Eunice of Wheatland, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Osceola Morden; brothers, Robert, Roger, Lavern & Louis Morden; sisters, Elsie Jane Hawley and Margaret Kogut.
