Lyle Gerald Corbett

Lyle Gerald Corbett, 36, of Centerville and formerly of Tipton, entered his eternal rest on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Visitation for Lyle will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 from 4-7 PM at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton.  There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. A luncheon in Lyle’s honor will follow at the Tipton VFW.  Casual attire is encouraged for all services, work boots optional.  Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lyle Corbett Memorial Fund in care of Fry Funeral Home, PO Box 30, Tipton, IA 52772.

Lyle was born on March 29, 1988 in Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. He was the son of Michael Gerald Corbett and Sandra Fitch Corbett. Lyle graduated from Tipton High School with the Class of 2006 and then because of his interest in raising cattle, he graduated from Kirkwood Community College with his Associate of Arts Degree. Lyle moved to Centerville to raise cattle and also worked as a yardman for the Lockridge Lumberyard and worked for Fogle True Value.

Lyle is survived by his parents, Michael Gerald Corbett and Sandra Fitch Corbett, and his sister, Becky Hickerson, and step-brother, Terry Swick, all of Tipton, Iowa; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends from Centerville and Tipton. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dewey and Bev Fitch and Bill and Phyliss Corbett.
