Lyle Vernon Mcquillen

Lyle Vernon McQuillen, 85, of Tipton died Wednesday, October, 19, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City. Honoring Mr. McQuillen's request he was cremated and there will be no services. A memorial has been established in his memory. Lyle Vernon McQuillen, son of Elmer and Verna Paul McQuillen, was born February 2, 1926, in Bennett, Iowa. Lyle served in the United States Navy during WWII. Lyle was united in marriage to Maurine Jane Johnston. He was employed as a truck driver. Lyle is survived by his daughters, LeAnn Dempsey of Phoenix, Arizona, Kyle McQuillen of Tipton, Iowa, Jo Sissel of Coraville, Iowa, Kae McQuillen of Tipton, Iowa; and son Steve McQuillen of Bennett, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maurine; sister, Joyce; brother, Wayne; and grandson, Aaron Sissel.
