Funeral services for Mabel Rosella Coiner, 86, of Tipton, who passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014, will be held at 10 AM, Monday, May 12, 2014, at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, also at the funeral home, from 9 AM - 10 AM. Burial will follow at Overman Cemetery in Atalissa, Iowa. Mabel Rosella Coiner was born June 17, 1927 in Hudson, Michigan, the daughter of Robert & Elizabeth (Schulte) Brinkman. She received her education through the West Liberty and Tipton School Districts and later earned her GED. Mabel was married to Earl Coiner in Kahoka, Missouri on August 19, 1942. She was a homemaker, waitress and cook. The Garden Club and VFW Auxiliary were organizations and clubs in which Mabel was a member. She enjoyed bowling, fishing and her grandchildren. Mabel is survived by her daughter, Jean (Ray) Eserhaut of Tipton, Iowa; sons, Rodney (Linda) Coiner of Tipton, Iowa and Robert Joe (Tammy) Coiner of Loveland, Colorado; sister, Viola Ward of Phoenix, Arizona; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl, in 1990; a stillborn son, John Alden; brother, Robert; and sisters, Thelma and Anne.
