Marcia Ann (Thompson) Villhauer

Marcia Ann Villhauer, 81, of Tipton, entered her eternal rest in the early morning hours on Saturday, May 11, 2024 in the Cedar Manor Nursing Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14th from 9:00 to 11:00 am immediately followed by her funeral service at 11:00 am at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will follow in the Rochester Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her memory for the Friends of The Animals or the Cedar Manor Nursing Home. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Marcia was born on September 20, 1942 in Iowa City, Iowa. She was the daughter of Douglas and Johannah R. Brodeen Thompson. Marcia graduated from Tipton High School and on April 17, 1963 she was united in marriage to Donald Lee Villhauer, Sr. Together they raised three children, Don, Keith and Connie. Marcia began her career as a telephone operator then was employed by Louis Rich and finally CDS.

Marcia is survived by her children, Donald (Courtenay) Villhauer of Iowa City, Keith Villhauer of Tipton and Connie (Russell) Timm of Tiffin; her grandchildren, Tiffani, Nick and Jordan; and her brother, Steve Thompson of Keokuk. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Kathleen Meyer, Brother-in-law, Kenny Meyer, daughter-in-law, Julie Villhauer, and her nephews, Mark Meyer and Kent Meyer.
