Margie Jean Gaul

Margie "Midge" Gaul, 79, Tipton died Tuesday in Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Tipton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:00 am, First United Church of Christ, Tipton. Visitation will be held Friday from 4-6 pm at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Midge was born October 16, 1931, to Lon H. and Emma Brick LaRue. She attended Tipton High School while growing up. On September 1, 1950, Midge was united in marriage to Monte H. Gaul. Midge was owner and operator of Guys & Gals in Tipton. She was a member of the United Church of Christ, Tipton County Club and enjoyed playing Bridge. Midge is survived by her husband, Monte Gaul of Tipton, Iowa; daughter, Lisa Marrow-Forest of Tipton; sons, Monte Dean Gaul of Tipton, and Steve Gaul of Tucson, Arizona; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Darline Werling; brothers, Don LaRue, Raymond LaRue and an infant brother, Lon. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Iowa City, Cedar Manor Nursing Home or United Church of Christ in memory of Midge.
