Marilyn Bessie Rekemeyer

Marilyn Bessie Rekemeyer, daughter of Adelbert and Bertha Marie Fisher Reid, was born January 8, 1930 in Mechanicsville, Iowa. She graduated from Mechanicsville High School in 1949. Marilyn was united in marriage to Dale Louis Rekemeyer in 1950. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tipton. Marilyn worked at Benner Foods; Bud's Super Value and was employed as a secretary at the Cedar County Engineer's Office. Marilyn is survived by her sons, Michael (Vicki) Rekemeyer of Tipton, Iowa, Steven Rekemeyer of Amana, Iowa; grandchildren, Mike Jr., Tammi, Tom, Mary, Jamie; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Eunice Maholic of Wichita, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dale in 1983; sister, Alberta Reid;infant brothers,Charles and John; brother, Darrell Reid; and daughter-in-law, Sylvia Foster.
