Marjorie Carstensen

Marjorie May Carstensen, daughter of George and Emma Messner Carstensen, was born March 27, 1910 in Riceville, Iowa. She received her BA Degree from the University of Iowa in 1961. Marjorie taught school in Cedar, Howard, Jones and Scott County. She taught for 20 years in Durant, Iowa. She was a member of A.A.U.W. and the First United Church of Christ in Tipton. Marjorie is survived by her twin sister, Mildred Carstensen; 6 nephews, 3 nieces and several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. She was peceded in death by her parents, George and Emma Carstensen; brothers; Neil Pete" Donald George and an infant boy; sisters Margaret and Blanche; 1 niece and 1 grand-nephew."
