Marjorie Loretta Brannaman Harmel, daughter of Warren C. & Alma Marie Kadera Brannaman, was born December 6, 1919, in Cedar County, Iowa. She was a 1939 graduate of Lisbon High School. Marjorie was united in marriage to Edwin Henry Harmel on August 7, 1940, in Nashua, Iowa. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bennett and the American Auxiliary. Marjorie is survived by her sons, Robert Harmel & wife, Sandra of Bennett, Iowa and Jerry Harmel & wife, Mariann of Bennett, Iowa; 5 grandchildren, Lisa Chabot & husband, Rob, Kim Baker & husband, Paul, Troy Harmel & friend, Debbie, Todd Harmel and Tonya Hermiston & husband, Lyle.10 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Sophia, Abbi, Joshua, Madison, Jonathon, Richlen, Laken, Connor and Carter; a sister, Velma Clark of Lisbon, Iowa; brother, Maurice Brannaman & wife, Mildred of Martelle, Iowa; and brother-in-law, Elmer Harmel & wife, Marvell of Tipton, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren & Alma Brannaman; her husband, Edwin Harmel in 1974; and a brother, Charles Brannaman. A memorial has been established in honor of Marjorie for St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bennett.
