Marsha Ann (Petersen) Armitage

Marsha Ann Armitage, 75, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Tipton, died peacefully in her home on January 20, 2022 of natural causes. It was Marsha’s wish to be cremated and her family will remember her for the good times in her life.  Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Marsha was born on April 12, 1946 in Cedar County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Elmer ‘Jake’ and Luva Jean (Beaver) Petersen. Marsha attended and graduated from Tipton High School with the Class of 1964 and attended college where she became a teacher in special education. Marsha was united in marriage to George Armitage, II and later they divorced. From this marriage came two sons; George Ivan Armitage, III and Chad Elmer Armitage. Marsha is survived by two grandsons; Nathan Armitage and Cody Armitage; sister, Rita Harbaugh of Cedar Rapids and ex-husband, George Armitage, II. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Luva Jean; and her two sons, George Armitage, III and Chad Armitage.
