Martha Timmerman was born September 13, 1910, the daughter of Victor and Sodonie Yde DeWulf in Eldridge, Iowa. She attended school in New Liberty, Iowa while growing up. Martha was united in marriage to Julius Timmerman on January 4, 1936, at St. Patrick's Church in Big Rock, Iowa. She was a housewife, a 4-H Leader, member of the Bennett School Workers and enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles. Martha is survived by her son, Weslie Timmerman and wife, Lois of New Liberty, Iowa; daughters, Marjorie Gipson and husband, Charles of Davenport, Iowa, Bonita (Bonnie) Grenko and husband, Ron of Bettendorf, Iowa; grandchildren, Annette LaFollette, Rod Gipson, Jeff Gipson, Tammy Kleinsmith, Brian Timmerman, Brenda Johnson, Renee Nissen, Yvonne Carlson; 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Jennie Goethals, Zelma Goethals, and Alice Caes. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Alice, Mary, Margaret and Minnie; brothers, Rudy, Frank, Emil, Julius and Albert. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Cemetery Association, Hospice or Cedar Manor Nursing Home.
