Maryann Harmsen

Funeral services for Maryann Harmsen, 65, of Coralville who died Wednesday, August 21, 2013, will be held Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 11:00 am at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Rev. Beverly Marshall-Goodell will be officiating. There will be a visitation at Fry Funeral Home Friday, August 23, 2013 from 4-7 pm. Burial will be at the Red Oak Cemetery. A general memorial fund has been established in memory of Maryann. Maryann, daughter of Frank and Pat Pinter Lukaszek, was born October 19, 1947, in Chicago, IL. On November 16, 1974, Maryann was united in marriage to Larry Lee Harmsen in Chicago. She was employed as a custodian at the University of Iowa and Rockwell Collins in Coralville. Maryann is survived by her husband, Larry L. Harmsen of Coralville; daughters, Patty Rodriguez of Iowa City and Melody Harmsen of Iowa City; sons, Paul L. Harmsen of Coralville and Scott L. Harmsen of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren, Gage and Dallas Slater; sister, Bonnie Vernola of Burbank, Illinois; brothers, Ronnie Lukaszek of West Lake, Ohio and Rick Lukaszek of Lemont, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father in-law, Harold and Dorothy; and sister, Connie Palacz.
