Maxine Winslow

December 7, 1915 — October 27, 2006

Maxine Sisler, daughter of Edward and Olive Onions Sisler, was born near Clarence, Iowa. Maxine attended Stanwood High School. On January 25, 1933, Maxine was united in marriage to Ralph Doan Winslow in Rock Island, Illinois. They became the parents of two girls, JoAnn and Kay. Maxine worked as a bookkeeper for Farms Service, worked as the Deputy Assessor in the Cedar County Courthouse and was the secretary for the Selective Service Board, also in Cedar County. Of course, being a mother and a wife was her most rewarding career. Maxine was also a member of the Tipton United Methodist Church. She lived in Cedar County all of her life. Maxine is survived by her two daughters; JoAnn (Mrs. Jim) Brennan of Tipton, Iowa; Kay (Mrs. Larry) Harr of Clarence, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Ralph - Dec.21, 1988) brothers, Max, Daryl, Melvin and Robert Sisler; and her sister, Imogene Phelps.
