Michael James Wehde

Michael James Wehde, age 62, of Solon, Iowa, passed away on April 23, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Michael was born on November 22, 1963. He spent much of his life working outdoors, where he felt most at home in nature. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and the way he cared for those around him. Michael was a devoted fan of the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, Green Bay Packers, and Chicago Cubs. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout the seasons.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Katarina Wehde; his sister, Christina Wehde and spouse, Layne Lindebak; and his brother, David Wehde.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Elaine Wehde; and his sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Ken Baker.

Burial arrangements are under the care of Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, Iowa. Graveside services will be held at Woodbridge Cemetery, Tipton, Iowa, with a reception to follow.
