Micheal Lee Dettman

Micheal Lee Dettman, 51, of Muscatine, formerly of Tipton, died Saturday, May 16, 2015 of an apparent heart attack while mowing his yard. Mike's wishes were to be cremated so private family services will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Mike was born on January 19, 1964 in Cedar Rapids and was the son of Robert and Irene Stout Dettman. Mike graduated from Tipton High School in 1982. Mike was employed by the Muscatine Community School as a custodian. He enjoyed fishing, camping and watching old western movies. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Mike is survived by his mother, Irene Dettman, of Tipton, Iowa, sister, Pam (Gary) Schoepfer of East Moline, Illinois, brothers, Bernard Dettman of Parnel, Iowa and David Dettman of Tipton, Iowa; four nephews, Benjamin and Brandel Schoepfer and Jarad and Devin Dettman. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert.
