Mildred Skladzien

Mildred Helen Skladzien, daughter of Everett and Nellie Proctor Shotwell, was born September 23, 1916. She was a 1935 graduate of Tipton High School and received her nursing degree in Moline, Illinois. Mildred was a registered nurse at Chicago Hospital and was employed as the first night nurse at Cedar Manor Nursing Home. In 1942, Mildred was united in marriage to Edwin Roman Skladzien in Chicago, Illinois, they later divorced. She was a member of Easter Star and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary.
