Myron R Suiter

Myron "Mike" R. Suiter, a native of Princeton, Iowa and a resident of Foley, Alabama, died January 16, 2013. Myron Suiter was born February 6, 1927 in Le Claire, Iowa, the son of Edward and May (Ehlers) Suiter. He married Sue Ann Adams on April 21, 1951. He served in the U.S. Army Tank Corp., worked at the Rock Island Arsenal, farmed, and worked with J.I. Case Test Dept.. He retired after 20 years as a truck driver in 1989. He was a 50 year member of Snow Lodge #44 Free & Accepted Masons, Le Claire, IA. His hobbies were card playing and reading. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Sue Ann (Adams) Suiter of Foley, AL, sons, Kenneth (Lori) Suiter of DeWitt, IA and Daniel (Linda) Suiter of Princeton, IA, a daughter, Shelley (Kenneth) Beuthien of Wheatland, IA, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a sister Lois Hoffman of Tipton, IA, and a brother in law, David Adams of Asheville, NC. He was preceded in death by a great grandson, and two sisters, Virginia Broughton and Ida Phillips. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Princeton, IA. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church 195 E. Berry Ave. Foley, AL 36535 or Princeton Presbyterian Church P.O. Box 218 Princeton, IA 52768.
