Nancy Lou (Murray) Donohoe, 82, of Tipton, passed peacefully into eternal life on February 17, 2025, under the care of Cedar Manor in Tipton. Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tipton, followed immediately by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Lunch will be held at the parish hall prior to burial and final rites at St. Bridget’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Nancy Donohoe family. Nancy Lou, the first-born daughter of LeMoyne and Betty (Ford) Murray, was born on February 6, 1943, in Cedar Co., IA. She was the eldest of her eight siblings: Richard, Suzanne, Judy, Jan, Chuck, Vicky, Dawn, and Denise.
Nancy grew up and graduated in Tipton, Class of 1960. She later met Bill Donohoe and they were married on May 14, 1964, at St. Bridget’s Church. Together they had three children, Scott, Pat, and Sherrie.
With faith being her foundation, Nancy was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Tipton. She served on the St. Mary’s Guild in Mechanicsville prior. Nancy was also a member of TOPS and a proud member of St. Bridget’s Church.
Nancy worked as Quality Control at Purethane for over 20 years, but her main role in life was as a Homemaker and Mother.
Nancy's legacy of love, faith, and dedication lives on in the hearts of her family. Her acts of kindness and nurturing nature have left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Nancy is missed and survived by her children, Scott Donohoe, Pat Donohoe, and Sherrie (Eric) Sandegren; sisters, Suzanne (Granville) Coombs, Judy Wright, Dawn (John) Hills, and Denise Becicka; brother, Chuck (Julie) Murray; grandchildren, McKenzie (Jacob), Parker, Alexandria (Alex), Preston, Ellie, Payton, Gannon, and Elin; and great-grandchildren, Isabella, Kylar, Edward, Lilith, Gabe, Titus, and Grace.
Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill, who passed away in 1996. Along with her husband, she joins her grandparents, parents; brother, Richard Murray; and sisters, Jan Wurr and Vicky Webb.
