Nora "Bea" Bernice Fulwider

Nora "Bea" Fulwider, 79, of Tipton, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family at Cedar Manor on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5th at First United Methodist Church, Tipton from 1:00-3:00 pm. Funeral Services will also be held at First United Methodist Church at 3:00 pm, Friday. Nora "Bea" Fulwider was born in Malcolm, Iowa on June 19, 1936, the daughter of Louise Wolfe and Laverner Griffin. Bea grew up in West Branch, Iowa. She married James Fulwider on July 22, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. Together they raised 3 children: June, Karen, and David. In addition to being a homemaker, Bea worked at several businesses in the area, including High Tierra restaurant, telephone companies in Tipton and West Branch, Crestview and Cedar Manor nursing homes, and the dentist offices of Drs. Pfiefle and Smith in Tipton. Bea enjoyed, entertaining, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. In her later years, Bea was reunited with her birth siblings and appreciated their many memorable visits. Bea was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; step-father, Bill Wolfe; sister, Anita Eliason; and brother, Larry Wolfe. She is survived by her children: June (Dale) Seligman of Mechanicsville, Iowa; Karen (Scott) Anderson of Tipton; and David (Lisa) Fulwider of Tipton; brothers, Mike and Rob Wolfe, and John Griffin; sisters Jo Lawrence, Darlene Benson, Ruth Jordan, and Marla Gregory; 5 grandhildren, Heidi (Cary) Murphy; Eric Seligman; Alisha (Josh) Hubler; Alex (Bailey) Anderson; Katelyn (Devin Yutesler); and 6 great-grandchildren.
