Patrick "Mike" Michael Drew

Patrick Michael ‘Mike’ Drew, 60, of Tipton, entered into a world free from any illness on Saturday, January 4, 2025 in the quiet comfort of his home after battling a form of carcinoma. Mike was born on April 24, 1964 and was the son of James Michael Drew and Penny Suzanne Rosenberger Drew. Mike graduated from Newton High School with the Class of 1982. Prior to his becoming seriously ill you would quite often see (and hear) Mike riding his bicycle around town, his boom box would typically announce his presence long before you would actually see him. Mike worked construction for many years with his childhood friends, Andrew Jenkins, Jim Armstrong, & Dan Hewitt.

Mike is survived by his two sons, Jacob Drew and his wife Victoria Drew, of Newton, Iowa and Josh Drew, of Des Moines, Iowa. Mike has many friends, too numerous to list here in this obituary, but he will be missed by those who knew and cared for him. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Crystal Drew. Fry Funeral Home is caring for Mike and his arrangements. …Go Bears!
