Paul Dewey Osborn, son of Admiral Dewey & Myrtle Grace Turner Osborn, was born September 30, 1926 in Buchanan, Iowa. He attended school in Tipton while growing up and graduated from Springdale Schools in 1944. Paul served in the United States Navy. He was a lifetime member of the Tipton VFW Post 2537 and the American Legion Post 123. Paul was employed as a cement foreman for Quad City Construction Company. Paul is survived by his wife, Doris Osborn of Tipton, Iowa; daughter, Sherry Snyder of Tipton, Iowa; grandchildren, Paul (Julie) Kenney of Round Lake Beach, Illinois, Samantha Smith of Tipton, Iowa; great-grandchildren, Jake, Kaitlyn, Brendan; sisters, Honey Lou Smith of Tipton, Iowa, Patricia McQuillen of Moscow, Iowa; brothers, Hugh Osborn of Athens, Alabama, Bert Osborn of Quad Cities, Frank (Crystal) Osborn of Mt. Vernon, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Admiral & Myrtle Osborn; daughter, Randi Smith; brothers, Dewey, Jr., Roland, & Gerald Osborn. A general memorial fund has been established in memory of Paul.
