Pauleen "Dutch" Rupe, 87, of Tipton, passed away Monday evening, January 19, 2015 in Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa. Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015, Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will follow in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. A brief visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 on Friday. A memorial fund has been established in her honor. Dutch was born on July 10, 1927 in Tipton, Iowa and was the daughter of Wilbur E. and Daisy E. Thede Morden. She was a 1945 graduate of Tipton High School. On March 18, 1950 she was united in marriage to Raymond Richard Rupe in Tipton. Dutch worked for the City of Tipton for 18 years as a meter reader. Dutch loved watching the birds, especially cardinals, and the squirrels. She also enjoyed numerous trips to Sharpless Auctions, flea markets, Goodwill and the casino with family and friends. Dutch is survived by her two children, Brenda K. Rupe and Earl R. Rupe of Tipton, Iowa; and her granddaughter, Heather (Jeremy) Sharp of Indianola, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; infant daughter, Paula; sisters, Arleen, Helen, Martha, Florence and Dorothy; and her brother, Harold "Bud" Morden.
