R. Arlene Gedye

Ruby Arlene Simmermaker Gedye, 91, of Santa Barbara, California, formerly of Tipton, died on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in Santa Barbara of Cardiopulmonary Arrest. She touched many lives with here thoughtfulness and generosity in life. She graduated from Tipton High School, the University of Iowa and Business College in Davenport, Iowa. She was employed for thirty years in private industry and government, starting in Moline, Illinois. In 1951 she moved to Sacramento California and worked as Personnel Interviewer for McClatchy Newspapers and Broadcasting Co.
